J.C. Keeton Segment
JC Keeton sits on a bench backstage, his wrists taped up and a thick leather strap attached to his left arm. He doubles the strap over and slaps it against his hand with a loud crack. Standing next to him is Jenna Bauer holding a microphone as JC just pops the strap against his palm over and over.
Jenna Bauer: Ladies and Gentlemen I’m here with JC Keeton ahead of his huge Strap Match later tonight against Reo Raijin. JC what are your thoughts heading into your first meeting with Raijin in an official capacity?
J.C. Keeton: Official, unofficial, in the ring, the parking lot, makes no difference where it is Jenna. Reo has brought out a side of me that I didn’t know existed. It’s a blinding rage unlike anything I’ve ever felt. I can wrestle, the whole world knows I can wrestle. I was born to wrestle but tonight I won’t be doing any wrestling. This is a fight, this is two men bound together by this strap and a burning hatred. It ain’t gonna be a five star classic, Jenna.
Jenna Bauer: I don’t think after the weeks of violence between the two of you anyone expects that. I have to ask though, with the news coming out of the Golden Alert being issued for your grandmother are you entirely focused on your match tonight?
JC lets the strap go and it falls to his side as he hangs his head and sighs. After a few seconds of silence JC looks up at Jenna.
J.C. Keeton: Of course I’m not. Since I never really knew my Mom and with my Dad on the road most of my life she raised me. I haven’t slept since they issued the alert and probably won’t til they find her so yeah I’m definitely not 100% focused.
Jenna Bauer: I hope they find her.
J.C. Keeton: Thanks Jenna, me too.
Jenna smiles into the camera.
Jenna Bauer: Let’s go back to the ring.

Strap Match Reo Raijin vs. J.C. Keeton
Adilene Floyd: The following contest is a STRAP MATCH!
“Born Legendary" begins to play and when the beat kicks in pyro explodes from the rampway as JC Keeton steps through the curtain, he has the strap already attached to his left wrist. His normal high energy upbeat entrance is a simple slow expressionless walk to the ring.
Adilene Floyd: Introducing first, from Lexington, KY… JC KEETON!
The fans pops for JC but it has no effect as he enters the ring and stares daggers through the curtain waiting for it to part.
Jimmy Garcia: The stakes in this one have nothing to do with championships or either man’s standing in the division JJ, this match is about one thing and that’s the hatred that has formed between these two since Reo Raijin arrived in AW.
JJ Biggs: I’ve never seen JC like this, I know he said he wasn’t 100% focused but that’s not the stare of a man who doesn’t have some bad intentions.
Adilene Floyd: And his opponent, currently residing in San Francisco, CA… REO RAIJIN!
An unknown gravely voice speaks as the arena lights begin fading to a dark shade of gray.
Akutō Akutō Akutō Akutō Akutō
The Japanese word for villain flashes onto the screen as the lights explode into a burst of brilliant white lights and pyrotechnics. The explosions sound as though they are coming from the ring and then another set of explosions that come from the entrance ramp.
My Demons by Starset begins playing loudly throughout the arena.
The cameras shakes and pan quickly throughout the entire arena before suddenly stopping within the stands of the audience. Reo Raijin walks out within the crowd and stands as he holds his hands and arms outward before quickly bringing them in as he grasp his hands into a fist.
He begins makes his way between the fans who are grabbing and patting him on the shoulders as a few attempt at taking a selfie as he passes by them. As he gets to the barricade separating crowd from audience he jumps onto the top of the barricade and turns towards the crowd.
The words are called out with what sounds like thousands of children screaming in unison.
Something wicked this way comes.
Raijin opens his arms out wide again as he drops off the barricade as he looks towards the crowd. Instantly he turns and walks up the steel steps and grabs the top rope pulling himself upwards and using his momentum to jump over the top rope. As soon as his feet hit the mat Keeton shoots a power double leg takedown, scooping the masked man up and dumping him on his head. JC places his knee across Raijin’s chest and begins reigning down right hands. The crowd is losing their minds as Reo tries to cover up, but many of the closed fist strikes are getting through.
Jimmy Garcia: PapaPia! We need to get this under control, the match hasn't even started yet.
JJ Biggs: We need an exorcist, JC is possessed.
A slew of referees and CruiserClash GM Donald Deruty come running out from the back and the refs pull Keeton off Reo who you can see a devious smile form on the face of as Deruty leans in and says something inaudible to JC. Keeton's response can clearly be heard.
JC Keeton: I don't care whether it's part of the show or not. Fuck this show! This is personal.
The feed cuts from the ring to the announcers and Jimmy Garcia with his hand up to his ear.
Jimmy Garcia: Folks I'm being told we need to show you a preview of what to expect on the next episode of Monday Night Clash.
The feed cuts to flashing images of Ash Blake with Philidor behind her and all the chaos they've caused leading up to her World Championship match, followed by images of Corey Black holding up the belt. A voice over plays asking, “Who left Revolution as AW World Champion? Tune in next week on Clash for the fallout.” When we return D-Day appears to have calmed Keeton and the referee is attaching the other end of the strap to Raijin's left wrist. Deruty exits the ring and the bell sounds.
DING DING DING
Keeton shoots for a takedown as soon as the ref is out of the way but Raijin was ready this time and sprawls to stuff it and transitions to the back. He begins wrapping the strap around JCs neck, choking him with it.
Jimmy Garcia: Holy guacamole he might choke him out right here.
JJ Biggs: He's still got to touch all four corners to win and that's hard to do dragging dead weight.
Jimmy Garcia: I'm not sure either of them care if they win they just want to hurt the other guy.
JC starts to stand with Raijin on his back choking the life out of him. He falls to his back crushing Reo under him forcing him to let go and Keeton unwraps the strap from around his neck gasping for air. Both men get back to their feet and makes a diving leap towards one of the turnbuckles and he connects. A soft ding is heard and a tally appears in the corner of the screen showing Reo Raijin - 1 signifying that he's touched one of the four corners.
Jimmy Garcia: It appears Raijin is concerned with the victory as he's going after the winning objective.
JJ Biggs: Objective smogjective, JC just wants to hurt him and I want to see him do it.
Before Raijin can even get close to touching the second turnbuckle Keeton yanks the strap pulling him towards him right into a stiff knee to the midsection that doubles the masked man over. JC doubles the strap over and the crowd pops in anticipation of what's about to happen as Keeton begins whipping Raijin across his bare back and shoulders with the unforgiving leather. With each swipe of the strap that connects a whelp forms and Raijin screams out in agony. The fans are absolutely eating this up.
JJ Biggs: Yes! Beat him like a dog.
Jimmy Garcia: Whoa partner, PETA is watching.
Out of desperation Reo hits a mule kick low blow to stop the relentless assault from Keeton. With JC now clutching his little Keetons, Raijin hooks him up, lifts him in the air and spikes him right on top of his head with a vicious Brainbuster. He then returns to his feet and slaps two turnbuckles in succession as he goes for the third Keeton begins to tug at the strap from his back but momentarily blocking Raijin from hitting the third turnbuckle but the man of the mask powers himself to the third turnbuckle.
Jimmy Garcia: Mama Mia! Reo Raijin is one turnbuckles away from winning this Strap Match.
JJ Biggs: The only way JC can stop him is by touching one of the turnbuckles himself.
As if he heard what his trainer had to say Keeton makes it to his feet as Reo goes for the final turnbuckle needed to win the match but JC pulls him back going for the opposite turnbuckle as they play tug of war with the strap. With one hard tug Keeton pulls his advisary towards him snapping his head back with a European Uppercut then another before reaching back and slapping the turnbuckle behind him to reset Raijin's path. When he turns back around he eats a European Uppercut himself from Reo and the two men just take the center of the ring alternating Uppercuts, but Keeton appears to still be feeling the affects of the Brainbuster earlier as the shots from Raijin have him on wobbly legs and Reo pulls him towards him. He doubles JC over and hooks his arms looking for Blast from the Past but JC blocks it with a backbody drop. Raijin is instantly back to his feet but doesn't have time to react as Keeton drops him with Ode to the Outlaw.
Jimmy Garcia: Ode to the Outlaw! He got all of that, the height on it was incredible.
JJ Biggs: I did not teach him that, that's all his old man.
JC thinks about trying to win the match with Raijin clearly out of it but instead the second generation star just mounts the chest of the masked man and just starts slamming right hands over and over into the masked face of Raijin. Just as it appears Reo is about to lose consciousness he starts screaming.
Reo Raijin: Now! Now! Do it now!
Suddenly the ActionTron flickers to life and all pre-recorded video from Raijin plays.
Reo Raijin: Jonathan Cade what is more important to you? Ending me or saving HER?
Jimmy Garcia: What the hell is he talking about?
JJ Biggs: Oh No I think I know…
Just as the words leave Biggs mouth JC stands up to see two unknown men in Raijin masks pushing a woman who has been tied to a wheelchair out on the ramp.
JJ Biggs: This is too far, that's Katherine Keeton JCs grandmother. I've eaten dinner at that sweet old woman's house.
Keeton starts to remove the strap from his arm but the video of Raijin continues on the big screen.
Reo Raijin: What's it going to be Baby Boy Keeton? Are you going to rescue your dear dear Grandma or is the vengeance you seek from me more important? If you take that strap off to save her I win.
Keeton turns to the ref and mouths the words “Is that true?” and the ref gives a reluctant nod. Still down on the mat Raijin stars screaming from the ring to his followers.
Reo Raijin: Do it now! Push the old hag off the stage!
Jimmy Garcia: No don't do this!
JJ Biggs stands up and yanks his headset off and starts up the ramp as the masked men begin wheeling Katherine towards the edge of the stage. A frantic JC Keeton pulls the strap loose from his wrist and bolts up the ramp, past Biggs, and he hits a double clothesline on the Raijin imposters sending them tumbling as he pulls the chair away from the edge of the stage and embraces his grandmother. Inside the ring Raijin is back to his feet demanding that the referee raise his hand, Adilene Floyd reluctantly raises the mic to her lips.
DING DING DING
Adilene Floyd: Ladies and Gentlemen the winner of this match as a result of a forfeit, Reo Raijin!
Jimmy Garcia: What a disgusting act by Reo Raijin, this is far from over.
Biggs has now joined JC on the stage as the work to untie Katherine while Raijin disappears through the crowd.
