Triple Threat
vs Frederick Whitmer vs Aidin Prince
There’s a legendary story about a man named D.B. Cooper and the mystery of America’s greatest unknown identity. The hijack of the century and the perplexing unknown of a lifetime. Many between government officials and amateur internet sleuths have attempted to uncover who is the real D.B. Cooper. All without success.
Does that sounds familiar? Frederick Whitmer. Aiden Prince. You’re no genius keyboard sleuths figuring out an identity that’s obvious. What won’t be obvious is the question you’ll be facing, who was that masked man?
Raijin, the man behind a mask, knows what it feels like hiding an identity. A persona that people want to uncover and reveal to the prying eyes of the world.
This time he faces the difficulties of a three way dance and two opponents he has yet to face between those ropes. He’s paid some attention as his opponents were the exact same that Soldado had defeated. The same exact scenario as well with needing to prove something after a loss.
Frederick Whitmer the guy that’s a visual throwback of early nineteen ninety's except the independent version. Eyes wide with insurmountable anxiety as he’s clearly out of his league. He stands paralized staring at a probable squash match.
Jobber, a word that’s not supposed to be derogatory by definition, but in this situation. That’s the intent. Sorry Frederick but the American Luchador isn’t a fan, not even a little.
It’s no fault of your own necessarily. Two people meet, they wrestle between the sheets, and the better part just sometimes runs… YOU get the idea… That’s how the saying goes anyway but it seems fitting in this situation. I guess it’s better than getting swallowed by a praying mantis though, right?
Maybe that was crossing a line… I’m not normally that guy… I am the guy saying it though… It’s a weak moment…
It’s late. I’m tired. Something else I’m sure you’re use to hearing.
Now that other guy…
Aiden Prince, the Legacy, the kid with a silver spoon and a family history of wrestling. Impressive. We could compare families but you know the whole hiding my identity thing. This industry is full of guys and girls with wrestling families and it’s more than a few lines in an online biography.
I hear you and your dad have the same career path, actors. Him in Hollywood and you playing the part of wrestler. Let me be the first to introduce you to ACT 1 Scene 3, defeat. I hear losing is something you’ve been good at in your Action Wrestling career. I know cause I always check the record books.
I play a part myself, avowed baby face, though I struggle at times with that thin line. I’m not some funkasaurus or a tutor for a spoiled rich kid. I’m a little more real than that. Sorry, I just call it as I see it through the holes of a mask.
I’m not new to this whole game and I know that each of you will cut your little promos. Poking fun at my name, my mask, the portrait of the lines I play between hero and villain.
Have you’re fun, say your clever lines, and then take your backseat in our little battle. I’ve got far more important things behind this mask then the two of you. This coming week you two figure out who’s going to take the pin and I’ll move on. I’m sure we’ll meet at CruiserHavoc just stay on your side of the ring and we’ll do our own things.
Raijin sat at a table across from an elderly woman with brittle aged fingers as she wove each individual stitch into the mask he would soon be wearing.
He takes the mask as she finishes the final stitch and hands it to him as he holds it up and looks through the eyes. His voice with quiet abandon can be heard as the camera fades.
I’ve got some special plans for those fans who will be in attendance. I might even have a little something for you two as well. We’ll call it an early Christmas present from yours truly.
I’ll see you two this coming Monday, boys.
