Raijin & Phoenix vs Sierra Silver & Richard McCoy
This past week saw the unanticipated pairing of the American Luchador and CJ Phoenix. The pair took advantage of the opportunity that Action Wrestling bestowed upon them as they obtained the victory.
The challenges keep mounting as the AW Brass have made it aware that the winners at CruiserClash will then head to Turmoil to contend for the CW Tag Champship.
The first accolade in the AW career of the American Luchador and his partner CJ Phoenix, together they are Apex Asylum.
Pay attention Sierra and Richard. Check the replay. In fact you may want to watch a few times. You might learn a thing or two.
The camera opens outdoors as it’s the change of seasons and the leaves tumble to the ground. Raijin stands at the edge of the sidewalk as a lady with a crying baby passes by a short bit away. A cry that reminds Raijin of a little D promo and as annoying as Sierra talking about her boy toy.
“The system of the AW Cruiserweights is broken I shouldn’t have to tell you that. J.C. Keeton played the system for an opportunity at the Crusierweight championship. The two time Crusierweight Tag Team Champs are entitled little tramps who barley represent those belts outside of their lilliputian brothel.
Welcome to the new AW CruiserClash where the status quo is changing one week at a time.
The next step towards that change is coming at CruiserClash where Phoenix and I disperse once again the ill relevant. This time with the likes of Silver and McCoy.
You can call me a traditionalist who thinks that things should be earned and retained in this industry by the blood and sweat that is spilled inside the ring. In front of that crowd. We didn’t sign on that dotted line because we have personal lives, social media lives, or because life is sometimes flamboyant with our, cough cough, seven thousand dollar suits.
A lesson needs to be learned within the ranks of the Cruiserweights. Much like the seasons it’s time for a change in Action Wrestling. It’s time that those leaves of old take a tumble so that the new may rise and grow.
The cruiserweight barbarian is at the gate of the broken system and I’m going to be knocking down those barriers one by one. The elites and the self entitled chosen are at one of their most dangerous of times.”
Raijin looks around as the animals comprehend the message of nature and heed it’s cautionary call. The birds begin to migrate south for the winter and the squirrels gather their fruits of labor and stow them away for another day.
“CJ Phoenix and I will be using predatory tactics to take home the victory this coming Monday at Clash. Sierra Silver and Richard McCoy will be the traumatized victims just simply in the way. I’m sorry but as far as I’m concerned. That’s just how it is sometimes. Sometimes to end a war. A village has to be burned.
Richard McCoy you’re the guy that’s gonna watch his girl get beat up. How’s that feel? Bon Jovi said success is falling nine times and getting up ten. I’ll have a word of advice after that match on Monday for you.
Get up, kid.
Sierra Silver, you and your little boy D got that first victory; but it’s a lot of responsibility to represent the AW in a major event against it’s tag team elite. You’re not the symbolic representation that Action Wrestling will have at Turmoil. Your proletariat rewards will have to come on a different night against different foes."
As the cries of the baby fade in the distance Raijin can’t help but think it’s amusing how life imitates our surroundings at times. The entitled will whine and bemoan the call of the change of seasons. It’s what some would call the Autumn anxiety except this year it’s come a few months later, in the name of Reo Raijin.
He puts his hands into the lined pockets of his jacket. He turns away and takes that first step into the unknown. It’s a step that many take but only the few are destined for greatness.
